This past week our employees volunteered at Children’s Advocacy Center in Collin County, to help organize the holiday shopping room.
The room was filled with gifts from floor to ceiling! We helped to organize it to look like the shoppers were in a wonderland of holiday gifts, just like you would see in a retail toy store!
The Children’s Advocacy Center helps out parents every year to make the wishes of over 800 children come true for the holiday season. Sadly they receive less 12% funding from the government and rely heavily on volunteers. This is a great place to volunteer and would strongly encourage everyone to help out where they can as it can be tough for many parents during the holiday seasons.
I know from personal experience just how tough the holidays can be on parents, as I am one of 5 children, and was raised by my single mother and grandmother. There was more than one christmas when we received gifts from places like this, and I am so glad that Olive Mae Clothing was able to help out where we can, and do our part to make holiday wishes come true!
Also this past Saturday we had a toy drive at the shop, where we collected gifts for a needy north Texas family! We are so blessed for having such wonderful fans, we would not be able to do fun things like this without you!
While It’s fun to buy lots of things for our friends and family, when it comes down to it this time of year is about celebrating the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!
Have a blessed holiday Season From the team at Olive Mae Clothing!
